Our Campus

  • The Summit School is located on a 15-acre campus in Edgewater, Maryland, just south of Annapolis. The property, a former horse farm, includes four buildings that provide a quiet, serene setting for students and staff.
  • The school library is located in the center of our main classroom building, consistent with our belief that reading and literacy are the heart of our instructional program. The collection includes over 9,300 volumes for students, parents and professionals. Videos and audio books round out our media resources.
  • Summit’s two computer labs have 23 computers with state-of-the-art technology. Each workstation contains current and applicable software designed to stimulate multi-sensory learning and increase productivity. Nearly 70 computers are networked on campus. Summit students also have access to a fleet of laptops that can be used within the classroom setting. Complementing the computer labs are ceiling mounted and portable LCD projectors, which are used to enhance curriculum instruction with video, sound and interactive diagrams
  • The Student Activity Center includes a full-size gymnasium, performing arts stage, music room and art studio. The facility is used for both school and community events.

  • The surrounding grounds include an outdoor amphitheater, a walking trail, fields for athletics, and play areas for the students.
